Glenn Barndon joined ABC Midwest and Wheatbelt in 1998 as the presenter of the Saturday morning sports program.
Glenn has filled various roles at ABC Midwest and Wheatbelt including producing and presenting Breakfast, Drive and the Rural Report.
He is now the presenter of the Midwest and Wheatbelt Morning program.
Glenn comes from a solid farming background where he worked on the family property in Chapman Valley before moving full time into the media where he has worked in the print and electronic media.
He is a commentator on local radio for the Great Northern Football League of which he was the league president for four years following an earlier three year stint as the Chapman Valley Football Club president.
Glenn has many contacts in regional WA and especially in the Midwest and Wheatbelt, including local government, farming, fishing, mining and tourism.
Sport is also a focus and particularly country football with a strong association with local communities having attended, reported and broadcast country week football for three decades.
In 2002 he won the WA Country Football League's Media Award for excellence and dedication to country football and also took out the journalist of the year award in 2004 for the State Basketball League.
Glenn has a strong affinity with his region and his involvement extends to being a member of the judging panel for the Midwest Sport Federations annual awards and the committee of the Relay for Life Mid West.
