Emily Laurence is a senior multi platform journalist and producer at ABC News with the national broadcaster's Specialist Reporting Team since 2023. She joined the NSW newsroom in Sydney in 2016 as a reporter/producer and radio newsreader and was part of the Walkley Award winning team covering the Black Summer fires. Her career started in regional news at ABC Illawarra and ABC South East on the NSW South Coast, during which she won regional and student journalism awards.
