Alexandra Blucher

Alexandra Blucher is a journalist for ABC Investigations in Brisbane. She has also worked as a journalist at ABC bureaux in Tasmania and New South Wales, and in Beijing at China Radio International. In 2023, Alexandra won Queensland Journalist of the Year and the Investigative Journalism category at the Queensland Media Awards for her investigation into the state's child protection system. She was also nominated for an investigative journalism Walkley Award in 2023. She was part of the team that worked on Mark Willacy's 2020 Gold Walkley Award-winning Four Corners story, Killing Field. In 2018, Alexandra won a Walkley Award for her investigation into local government corruption allegations. She also won three Queensland Media Awards in 2017 and 2018 for online investigations, and in 2018 she was part of the team awarded the Australian Council of Agricultural Journalists' Star Prize for Excellence in Rural Broadcasting.
