What is Marringa lullaby about?

Marringa means sleeping in Anindilyakwa. This is a song about sleeping. This lullaby is about taking you on a journey across country and dreaming of all the animals you've either seen or come across in your day.

Emily Wurramara added: "My daughter's heartbeat is also at the start of this, so this makes it extra special."

How can I watch the Marringa lullaby?

You can watch the Marringa lullaby just before 7.30pm on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays, or anytime on the ABC Kids app or ABC iview.

How can I watch the Tjitji lullaby and the Giggle and Hoot lullaby?

You can watch the Tjitji lullaby just before 7.30pm on Tuesdays and Thursdays, and the Giggle and Hoot lullaby just before 7.30pm on Saturdays and Sundays on ABC Kids. You can also watch both lullabies anytime on the ABC Kids app or ABC iview.

What language is the lullaby in?

It is in Anindilyakwa, the language of the Warnindilyakwa people of Groote Eylandt and Milyakburra (Bickerton Island).

Who is singing the lullaby?

This beautiful track was written and performed by Emily Wurramara, and written and produced by DOBBY. The lullaby has ties to Emily's Country and the Warnindilyakwa mob from Groote Eylandt and Milyakburra (Bickerton Island).

Who created the artwork?

This track has been brought to life visually by Bacon Factory Films and Bent3Land Productions, with illustrations by Yuwi and Torres Strait Islander artist, Dylan Mooney, and animation by Pixel Zoo.
