Rain boosts Lake Bolac

Lake Bolac residents say recent heavy rains have helped the lake, south-west of Ballarat, to refill.
Traditionally the lake was a popular venue for water sports, camping and fishing, but last summer it dried up.
Councillor Colin McKenzie from the Ararat Rural Shire lives near the lake and says it is still a long way from being able to host water sports again.
"It covers probably two-thirds perhaps of the actual area of the lake, but not with very much depth," he said.
"Until it covers the whole area of the lake and builds up a bit of depth, that's when we can look at getting back to activities of boating and fishing.
"Now that's quite a way off, but it's certainly a lot better than it's been."
