Man arrested over death of woman found unconscious inside Redwood Park house
A man will face court charged with a drug offence over the death of a woman who was found unconscious at a house in Adelaide's north-east.
Police attended the property at Redwood Park about 8am on Thursday and found the 26-year-old woman, but said she could not be revived.
The incident on Somerset Avenue was initially described as an "unexplained sudden death" but police have since arrested a 27-year-old man from the address.
The man and woman "were known to each other", police said, and the man has been charged with administering a drug of dependence.
Police including Major Crime detectives and crime scene investigators spent most of the day gathering evidence at the property.
Emergency service call-out records show ambulances responded to reports that a person had overdosed about 7am.
Police have said a "comprehensive investigation" would be conducted into the "cause and circumstances" of the woman's death.
They have spoken to witnesses and other residents, and have asked anyone with information to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or online.
Neighbours expressed shock and sadness at what had occurred, with one saying she had checked her cameras "just in case, but we didn't see anything".
The arrested man was denied bail and is scheduled to appear in Elizabeth Magistrates Court today.
