Missing Canberra children found, man charged
Two children missing since Monday in Canberra have been found, and a man has been charged in relation to the incident.
ACT Policing announced this morning that the two- and four-year-old boys had been located, as the search entered its third day.
"The two missing boys we posted about on Monday have been located safe and well," police said.
"Thanks for all your assistance."
A 36-year-old man has been charged with assault occasioning actual bodily harm, forcible confinement and theft.
He is expected to appear in court on Thursday.
ACT Policing issued an amber alert on Monday night, appealing to the public to help find the boys.
An amber alert is an urgent broadcasting alert system used by ACT Policing in time-critical situations to seek assistance from the community to safely locate a child in either a child abduction or a high-risk missing child case.
Police estimate they have only issued four amber alerts in the ACT to date.
The mother of the boys alerted police to their missing status on Monday, February 5.
