The Socceroos have been knocked out of the Asian Cup in an extra time thriller. Losing is disappointing, but arguably more disappointing than that is the fact that Australian players have since been victims of online abuse as people take to social media to vent their frustrations. How much damage can this cause a player or official and how can sporting bodies better protect their athletes from online trolls?
