Any update on what's happened with Killer Mike yet?
- Steve
Great question Steve! Looks like he will be released soon.
LA Police put this statement out about 30 minutes ago.
💬 Here is what some of you are saying
By Liana Walker
Taylor Swift wins everything. I'd like Lana to get something. She seems like a down to earth kid, buying her own dresses etc. & still looking pretty darn good!
- Merrowyn
I've made it no secret I was also there rooting for Lana with you Merrowyn — but it is still amazing to see another female artist break the record for Album of the Year (and of course to see Taylor shout out Lana).
What a disappointing year! So many incredible songs and albums passed over for more pedestrian choices. Can’t be too surprised, it’s still the Grammys
- Ben
It's a shame not everyone can win Ben! But there are plenty of other music awards throughout the year to keep an eye on.
Don't forget the controversy last year when MTV didn't book Victoria to perform at its awards show. According to it, it's not her time yet. We just witnessed a rare moment where the Grammy's isn't the most out-of-touch awards show.
- Just Being Petty
Just Being Petty — Don't think your chosen name is right, because you make a totally fair point. It's great to see Victoria recognised!

Billy Joel jumps back on stage to close the show
By Liana Walker
And after all these years, he still knows how to get a crowd up and dancing!
'All I want to do is keep doing this'
By Liana Walker
Taylor is the first person to win Album of the Year four times.
She is joined on stage by a number of people including Lana Del Rey who she shouts out during her acceptance speech.
"I think [Lana Del Rey is] a legacy artist, a legend in her prime right now," Swift says.
She describes winning the award as the same feeling as finishing a song, nailing a bridge or a shot list when making a film clip.
"All I want to do is keep doing this," Swift says.
Celin Dion makes a surprise appearance
By Al Newstead
The iconic singer recently cancelled a string of shows after being diagnosed with "stiff-person" syndrome. But here she is looking healthy and amazing.
"When I say I'm happy to be here, I really mean it with all my heart"
She's presenting the big one, Album of the Year, the same trophy that Dion received from "two legends, Diana Ross and Sting, presented to me 27 years ago".

Billy's back baby
By Dan Condon
Billy Joel plays his new song Turn The Lights Back On, only his second new pop single in more than 30 years (though he barely seems to recognise the existence of 2006's All My Life).
"The last time I wrote a song? It has to be 30 years ago," Billy says in a package before his performance.
Why?
"Because I didn't want to."
Songwriter Freddy Wexler and Joel then talk about their burgeoning friendship and how Wexler convinced him to get back in the saddle.
The song is fine. Billy's performance is pretty great, he remains in fine voice and his distinctive piano style just never gets old. I would have preferred he played All For Leyna or something but, hey, you get what you're given at these things.
Great to have the big fella back. Maybe he'll even come back to Australia some time?

It's his first song in 17 years.
Who knew Meryl Streep was Mark Ronson's mother-in-law!?
By Al Newstead
Because it's definitely the first time my colleagues and I are learning that fun celeb fact.
Folks were wondering what the movie legend was doing at music's night of nights, and host Trevor Noah revealed the connection: Mark Ronson is married to Streep's daughter Grace Gummer. There you have it.
Loading'I hope this doesn't change anything'
By Liana Walker
Miley goes up on stage visibly shocked.
"This award is amazing but I really hope it doesn't change anything," she says.
"Because my life was wonderful yesterday."
She says not everyone in the world will win a Grammy but that everyone in the world is amazing.

Victoria Monét beat Ice Spice, Fred again.., Noah Kahan and more
By Dan Condon
Given she was up against such huge artists, Victoria Monét's win in the Best New Artist category is a significant victory. It's her third Grammy win tonight.
Look at the other nominees:
- Gracie Abrams
- Fred again..
- Ice Spice
- Jelly Roll
- Coco Jones
- Noah Kahan
- The War And Treaty
It's probably not the upset that Australian audiences might expect it is, though.
It's been a huge year for Monét in the US and her teary speech (which gets cut off by the exit music) makes us realise how much of a grind it's been for her.
It's also not hugely surprising that this year's Best New Artist is in the 15th year of her career. Sometimes it takes the industry a while to catch up.
Victoria Monét's 15 year pursuit
By Liana Walker
Victoria starts her speech accepting the Best New Artist award by thanking the champagne servers.
She thanks her mum and the recording academy.
"Everybody who has a dream, I want you to look at this as an example," she said.
"This award was a 15-year pursuit."
Monét likens herself to a plant who was planted in the music industry "soil", which she says can be seen as either dirty or a "source of nutrients".
"I'm sprouting finally above ground," she says.
Academy CEO says now is the time for us to 'come together'
By Claudia Williams
Recording academy chief executive Harvey Mason Jr has made a speech while Israeli and Palestinian artists have performed in a string quartet.
"Now is the time for us, for humanity, to come together with empathy and love," he said.
On Twitter, CEO of American Jewish Committee Ted Deutch thanked him for honouring the music fans who died in Israel at the Nova Music Festival on October 7.
Earlier, Annie Lennox called for a ceasefire while she was performing during a tribute to Sinéad O’Connor.
Burna Boy brings the vibe
By Dan Condon
Burna Boy didn't win any Grammy awards this year, but he makes his Grammys debut in incredible style, with incredible choreography and a short but impactful performance.
He's joined by Brandy and 21 Savage to run through their amazing Sittin On Top Of The World, which sampled Brandy's 1998 single Top of the World.
It's a significant moment to have a Nigerian star on the Grammys stage. No doubt we'll see much more of it in the years to come. Let's hope so.

Who are they wearing? 💃
By Liana Walker
If you don't have to go digging too far for the info could we please get a quick Who are They Wearing for Lana, Doja & Ice Spice?
- What is that? Quinn? Rodarte?
Not a problem at all!
Ice Spice is looking stunning in a denim look by Kimora Lee Simmon's brand Baby Phat.
Doja Cat is rocking a sheer look by Dilara Findikoglu, a Turkish-British designer.
Lana Del Rey, in typical Lana fashion, isn't wearing designer tonight. It appears she has sourced the black floral dress herself.
This is the same Lana who bought her 2020 Grammy's dress at a mall, so no surprises here.
Travis Scott brings Utopia to life
By Al Newstead
Travis Scott feels like a controversial billing anywhere in the wake of the Astroworld festival tragedy of 2021 but he also remains a purveyor of unique spectacle.
The Texan rapper and 10-time Grammy nominee performed a medley of cuts from his 2023 album Utopia, beginning with two low-key moments: the woozy MY EYES and I KNOW? (where he let an F-bomb slip and will no doubt get a talking to).
Framed by smoke machines and shadowy staging, he lit up the shadows for the pyrotechnics of FE!N. He's joined by feature rapper Playboi Carti, performing in a mask while Scott takes his feelings out on a pile of fold-up chairs.
It's the kind of performance that's designed to polarise but it's also unlike any other tonight.
