At the ABC we're dedicated to helping you during natural disasters and extreme weather events by providing coverage of emergency situations as they arise and unfold.

But we're also here for communities as they recover and rebuild.

How to support affected communities

We have seen catastrophic floods in Queensland, destroying homes and livelihoods. For thousands affected, the long journey to clean-up and recovery will begin.

If you would like to support these communities, ABC Gives has compiled a list of organisations who are accepting donations or goods for those in need. Click on the links below to find out how you can help support communities in flood-affected areas.

The above is a guide to major appeals and not an exhaustive list of all charity organisations providing flood assistance.
