By Laura BirchPolice say they are exhausting all of their resources to try to locate a 75-year-old woman missing in Perth's western suburbs.
Key points:
- Jeanne D'Arcy was last seen leaving the Ocean Beach Hotel to go for a walk
- Some of Ms D'Arcy's belongings were found on Cottesloe Beach
- Police say there is no sign of foul play but are not ruling it out
Jeanne Christine D'Arcy was last spotted on Wednesday night in Cottesloe.
WA Police Senior Sergeant Paul Robinson said Ms D'Arcy was staying at the Ocean Beach Hotel on Marine Parade and left her accommodation at 11:09pm.
"Unfortunately Jeanne hasn't been seen since leaving the accommodation and we currently have some concerns for her welfare," Senior Sergeant Robinson said.
A land, air and sea search is underway, with police and the State Emergency Service scouring the Cottesloe coast for Ms D'Arcy following the discovery of some of her items along the shore.
"I'd appeal to the public to keep their eyes open, and if they see anyone who they think is Jeanne to please call police," Senior Sergeant Robinson said.
He said while there was no evidence of criminality, police were not ruling anything out at this stage.
'Desperate' family pleads for information
Ms D'Arcy's daughter Maree made a statement to reporters, thanking police and volunteers for their efforts.
"We're desperate to find Mum. This is very unusual for her," she said.
"She loves Cottesloe, she loves this area, so if you see her or remember anything about her around the area, please come down here or see the police."
Ms D'Arcy is described as 159 centimetres tall, fair-skinned, of medium build, with brown hair and brown eyes.
She was last seen wearing blue jeans, a white floral, long-sleeve top and slip-on shoes.
Anyone who spots her should call 131 444 immediately.
