Police say the death of a 61-year-old southern Queensland woman is suspicious after receiving autopsy results and conducting a bushland search.
Krishna Chopra was found dead in her home at Crows Nest, north of Toowoomba, on Monday.
Authorities on Thursday declared her death as suspicious.
Detective Senior Sergeant Paul McCusker, from the Toowoomba Criminal Investigation Branch, said Ms Chopra was last seen "active in the area" around January 20.
"We're encouraging ... people to come forward and assist police with her movements on or about the 20th of January this year, days prior and some days afterwards," he said.
He would not confirm details of Ms Chopra's injuries but said police had received autopsy results.
Emergency services searched bushland behind Ms Chopra's house on Park Road earlier this week.
Senior Sergeant McCusker said she moved to the area last year and lived alone.
"A friend of hers attended the address, couldn't raise her, returned to the address a number of days afterwards, still couldn't raise her, and contacted police," he said.
"We've conducted a lot of doorknocks through the area, spoken to a lot of people. When we conduct those enquiries, the public becomes shocked."
Toowoomba police are urging anyone with information, CCTV or dashcam footage captured in the area to contact them as the investigation continues.
